Acknowledge. Embrace. Release. This is an interest Acknowledge. Embrace. Release. This is an interesting one to contemplate, and may be powerful when applied to your health & healing. 

I had to ACKNOWLEDGE that the diet & lifestyle which I was CONVINCED was healthy & ethical was doing me no good. On the contrary, it was taking me towards autoimmune disease.

That was hard.

I had to EMBRACE all those things that I loved: eating habits, belief systems, ways of moving, my business... Embrace them & give thanks for all that they’d given me & taught me.

And I had to RELEASE them.

You know what the interesting thing about “Release” is? It’s that you don’t stop being you. You don’t lose anything. You don’t stop enjoying your time with friends. You don’t lose your qualities of compassion & kindness. You don’t become less. You become more.

Wiser. Stronger. More understanding. Healthier. Happier. More open & resilient.

LIFE OR DEATH? That’s the level of stress that y LIFE OR DEATH? That’s the level of stress that your body/brain is subjected to when you’re metabolically trapped in a Carb Burning Cycle. 

All carbs, healthy (like whole grains) and unhealthy (like sweets) are broken down into simple chains in the gut. When they enter the bloodstream IT’S ALL SUGAR. 

⚡️High blood sugar is life threatening so insulin is released to pull it out & store it.
⚡️Low blood sugar is life threatening, so you’ll be manipulated to eat.
⚡️High insulin blocks your ability to burn fat.

You. Your health. You're doing all the Right Thing You. Your health. You're doing all the Right Things, right? You're:  

✅ 1. Getting your protein from vegetable sources (and taking a B12 supplement.)  
✅ 2. You're eating a wide variety of cereals, whole grains and legumes for the fibre.  
✅ 3. You're eating low fat yogurt, low fat cheese, low fat desserts.  
✅ 4. You're snacking on fresh fruit, dried fruit, energy bars, nuts, and wholemeal crackers.  
✅ 5. You're burning off ingested calories through exercise.  
✅ 6. You're relaxing in the evening with digital apps and screens of all kinds.  
✅ 7. You're doing yoga (indoors), gym (indoors) and meditation (indoors), all to keep your stress levels low.  
✅ 8. You're avoiding skin cancer by staying out of the sun.  
✅ 9. You're sleeping 6 - 7 hours a night.  
✅ 10. You're avoiding socially connecting with people.  
  
And because you're doing all of this, your health is great, right? No excess weight. No pain. No digestive issues. No bloating, no cramping, no acid reflux. Your eyes are bright, your skin radiant. Right? If so, fantastic and yay for you!
