Evolving Towards a Quality Life

Friends, I have some Important News: Paleomantic is evolving towards a Quality Life. What I mean is, this website is slowly going to morph into a new identity. It’s going to merge with my other internet space, Angie B Quality Life. And the reason for this is…. simplicity.

Evolving towards a Quality Life.

Keeping things simple is so important for our mental and physcial health, but over the last few years, aspects of my own life have become very complicated.

Before I was knocked back by health issues in 2014, I was happily running my yoga studio, teaching in the Rehab Community and that was it. I had one website and one Newsletter.

Then, everything changed. I had to close my studio. I was scared that I wouldn’t be able to keep working with my body. I was on a path towards autoimmune disease. And, thank God, I discovered the Paleo Diet and Lifestyle. I took a year off, concentrated on my healing, and started Paleomantic as a means of sharing everything that I was learning. Paleomantic started as a Paleo Food Blog… but I’ve kept evolving. 

When I became a Primal Health Coach, I transformed my Italian website from “Angie Yoga” to “Angie B Quality Life”. This was perfect because it encompasses all that I’m passionate about: helping people live a Quality Life in all aspects. What I’ve learnt through my healing journey is that yoga in itself isn’t enough. Nor is nutrition, nor is exercise, nor is sleep. Rather, if we really want total health and wellness, then we need to develop good habits with regards to how we eat, move, sleep, connect and think – all of them. They’re like interlinking rings; they’re inseparable. These 5 Elements have become the foundation of my program, The Paleo Reset 31.

Towards a Quality Life

But… going back to complications…

With Paleomantic in English and Quality Life in Italian, I’ve ended up with 2 websites, 2 Mailchimp accounts, 2 Facebook Pages, 2 Instagram profiles, 2 Google analytics, 2 ways of being hacked (yes, it happened to both websites), 2 of everything… And I’m one little person, trying to do it all on my own.

So I’ve decided to simplify, to minimalise, to declutter, to streamline and to focus on what counts. 

And what counts is getting to you all that you need in order to live a Quality Life.

How It’s Going to Happen

Paleomantic is slowly going to go into retirement, but all of the things that you love are not going to go away! 

All the recipes and posts will find a new home over on Quality Life.

This isn’t going to happen straight away. To be honest, I’m not sure how it’s going to happen! All I know is that it will be a nice, gradual transformation. In fact, while the metamorphosis is occuring, the only thing that you’ll notice is the change of logo on Paleomantic. All of the bookmarks and urls will remain the same.

On Social Media, my profiles and Pages are merging.

And the Newsletter? I’ll simply ask you to join a new list. Don’t worry, I’ll make it super easy for you!

Keep on Growing

Growth is always a good thing.

Yes, I’m sad to be letting go of Paleomantic.

I’ve put so much work and love and passion into it over these last 5 years, and your involvement, your comments, your support and your enthusiasm has meant so much to me.

I really hope you accompany me on this voyage of transformation. With all of us there together, Quality Life is going to become a very beautiful space on the web. 

Friends, thankyou so much for being with me as we evolve and grow into a happier life, a healthier life, a Quality Life.

THE MOST AMAZING THING about health is that you ge THE MOST AMAZING THING about health is that you get to choose. Even if you have a familial predisposition to something. Even if you’ve already been diagnosed with something. Even if you’ve hit rock bottom and are despairing.

You get to choose. I’m not saying that you can miraculously heal issues which are deeply rooted. What I’m saying is that, no matter where you’re starting from, you can decide to reach your health potential.

That potential is different for everyone. For some it means winning gold at the Olympics. For others it means managing autoimmune disease, cancer or depression with a minimum of pharmaceuticals and medical interventions.

I was heading towards an autoimmune disease & I turned the situation around.

What I learnt is this: Health is Easy. You just need the right information & the right support. That’s what I offer.

Recipe Post! If you know that you Should eat liver Recipe Post! If you know that you Should eat liver because it’s a superfood and all the Paleo & AIP folk promote it... but you can’t get past the strong flavour - then this recipe is for you.

It’s like Liver for Beginners. In fact, why didn’t I call the post that?

Fried Liver with Spice
Ingredients
🥄 300 grams beef liver
🥄 2 tablespoons cassava (manioca) flour
🥄 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
🥄 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
🥄 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
🥄 1/4 teaspoon ground tumeric
🥄 1/4 teaspoon salt
🥄 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions
1. Cut the liver into bite-sized pieces, about 5cm.
3. Mix the flour, cinnamon, cloves, ginger, tumeric and salt in a bowl. 
5. Add the pieces of liver one at time and toss to coat with the spice mix.
6. Heat the oil in a fry pan over a medium heat. Add the liver in a single layer. Fry for a couple of minutes on each side so that the pieces are golden and cooked to your liking.

Notes
Make double the recipe or enough to fill a small jar so that you always have the spice mix on hand.

Getting nutrient food into your mouth isn’t difficult. It’s not time consuming. It’s not going to blow your budget. It’s not going to destroy the planet.

It’s going to make you well.

The right food will
👏regulate your metabolism, stabilise your energy and relieve your hunger.
👏It will calm your mind, your anxiety, your depression.
👏It will heal your gut and thus your immune system.
👏It will allow so much of your suffering to dissipate, dissolve and disappear.

Nutrient dense food is:
🦴🍗🍤🥚Quality protein sourced from animals because that’s the only way you’re going to get those synergistic combinations of all essential amino acids plus stuff like Vit.B12 & collagen which are only found in animal products
🥑🥚🥥 Healthy fats, and apart from avocados, coconut, olives & a few nuts & seeds, again we’re talking animal products: eggs, fatty fish, sat fat from animals.

The other 20% is divided between how you’re moving, how you’re sleeping, how you’re connecting (with others, yourself, nature & the world) and how you’re thinking, your mindset.

The importance of that 80% cannot be overemphasised.

Things we commonly put into our mouth:
🔸 damage our gut
🔸 wreck havoc with our hormones
🔸 mess with our head
🔸 disrupt our metabolism
🔸 send our immune system into overdrive
🔸 send our stress levels skyrocketing

Changing dietary habits is crucial if you want to get your weight, your inflammation and pain, & your stress levels under control.

Essentially, it’s not hard. Pragmatically, it’s hard to change habits.
